Victor Uribe, M.D. has practiced Adult, Child, Adolescent, and Family Psychiatry for over thirty years. He was trained in General Psychiatry at the Illinois State Psychiatric Institute in Chicago. He received his Fellowship Training in Child, Adolescent, and Family Psychiatry at the University of Chicago.
He is a Distinguished Life Fellow and a Diplomate of the American Psychiatric Association. He is a Fellow and a Certified Psychoanalyst of The American Academy of Psychoanalysis. He is a member of the American Medical Association, Chicago Medical Society, and Illinois State Medical Society. He is a member of The American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law and The American Neuropsychiatric Association.
He has taught in the Psychiatric Departments of the University of Chicago, Northwestern University, and Loyola University in Chicago. He has been a consultant to private and governmental facilities, a local, national and international lecturer, medical director of psychiatric programs, and a participant in Spanish speaking radio programs in Chicago. He is an author of many professional and fiction publications. He is currently in private practice in Chicago. Dr. Uribe speaks and writes English and Spanish with fluency.
